About Us
REFRIGERATION TECHNOLOGY is a Cape Town based, situated in the Western Cape and we have been servicing the refrigeration industry for more than 15 years. Our principal focus is domestic cooling, commercial cooling and industrial cooling. We have a South African Qualifications and Certifications Committee (SAQCC) accredited Services Company. We are holders of SAQCC Registered licences in Ammonia, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, Marine and Shipping. We supply and install compressors, evaporator and condenser coils, cold and freezer rooms, mid-wall split units, cassette units, ducted centralised systems, under-ceiling units, window-wall units and multi-VRV systems. We also provide energy efficient solutions, and ensure that the designs offered will have the least possible impact on the environment. During installation, we provide on-site management throughout the duration of the project. When we repair, service, maintain units, we only use original agent parts.
We provide free, professional advice on refrigeration and Air-conditioning selection. We provide full refrigeration and air-conditioning service contracts and offer different air-conditioning design options to accommodate our client’s aesthetic and budget requirements. We also supply individual units that don’t require installation.
Our highly skilled team of technicians are well equipped using the latest refrigeration equipment and up to date technology to install, service and repair all refrigeration and air-conditioning systems. They obtain regular and extensive training to ensure that their skills are superior and they will have their technical and safety certificates.
We offer the most technologically advanced equipment and only install equipment from leading brands that offer guaranteed support. Our technicians are honest, neat, friendly and presentable, and are always willing to accommodate changes on site. We carefully remove items that may be in the way during the installation process. Our technicians are well- trained, have their technical and safety certificates and work according to the occupational health and safety standards. We will work closely with the main contractor on a project to ensure a smooth installation.

Preventative maintenance plans every three, six, twelve months.
Evaporators
1. Tighten all electrical connections in the electrical panel.
2. Check fan motors and blades.
3. Check all defrost heaters.
4. Clean the drain pan and check for proper drainage.
5. Clean the evaporator coil surface.
Compressor Units
1. Tighten all electrical connections.
2. Check all electrical components.
3. Check the operation of the control system.
4. Check the oil level in the compressor.
5. Check the operation of the defrost controls.
6. Check the condition of refrigerant line insulation.
7. Check for the proper refrigerant level in the system.
8. Check the system superheat at the condensing unit.
9. Check all capillary and super hose lines for signs of wear.
10. Replace all missing valve caps and unit covers.

1. The condenser coil should be cleaned and washed.
2. Check the operation of the condenser fans.

REFRIGERATION INSTALLATION
We manufacture and install cold rooms and freezer rooms. We manufacture and supply cold room panels and freezer room panels to our client specifications. We supply and install under bars, compressors, condensers, evaporators, etc.
HVAC REPAIRS/INSTALLATIONS
We fit and supply most of the HVAC brands, from 9000BTU up to 48000BTU, midwall splits, under-ceiling splits, air-curtains, portable units, 4-way compact cassette splits, 8-way cassette splits, ducted splits, rotary compressors, etc.
